Children on the Edge
(International) was founded in 1990 to alleviate the suffering within Romania’s
orphanages, since then they have implemented
programmes
throughout the world for the most vulnerable and marginalised children worldwide.
Children on the Edge’s vision is to create a world where all children can grow up
in a loving and stable environment. Where all children regardless of their race,
nationality or parentage have equal access to their rights and the opportunities
that will allow them to fulfill their potential wherever they may be in the world.
Children on the Edge New Zealand was founded in 2006, to specifically help the forgotten
children of Burma. A non-profit organisation, we are committed to working on behalf
of marginalised and vulnerable children from Burma, who live as internally displaced
people in Burma or who have fled their war torn country for a new life in Thailand.
Although many of these children have escaped the oppression of their home land,
new dangers await and their journey towards a normal life is far from over.
With Children on the Edge New Zealand you can help create a safe and stable place
for children from Burma, somewhere they can grow and develop and access one of their
basic human rights, an education.
